Graphcore is building specialized AI compute infrastructure as part of the SoftBank Group. The Silicon Architecture Team, reporting to the Director of Silicon Architecture, is responsible for designing and specifying complex, high-performance silicon devices at the forefront of AI acceleration technology.
As a Staff SoC Architect, you will lead the architectural specification, integration, modeling, validation, and evaluation of critical sub-systems within AI acceleration platforms, including high-speed interfaces and interconnects. Your responsibilities include:
- Distilling product requirements and analyzing their effects on SoC and platform design trade-offs
- Collaborating with processor, SoC, and system architects to determine optimal technical solutions
- Guiding silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers to ensure implementation correctness
- Working closely with software and infrastructure teams to optimize the complete AI compute stack
- Driving architectural decisions that balance performance, power, area, and cost for next-generation AI accelerators
You will work at the intersection of silicon architecture, software optimization, and datacenter-scale infrastructure. The role involves deep technical leadership on subsystem design without direct people management, influencing multiple engineering disciplines to deliver cutting-edge AI compute solutions. This is a high-impact position for an experienced architect who can navigate complex technical trade-offs and guide teams toward optimal implementations.
