Salary: USD 136,000 - 181,000 / annual
Ping Identity is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to help build and maintain infrastructure for one of the world's largest cloud-based identity platforms. The role operates within a DevOps model where development and operations teams are fully integrated, running continuous daily deployments and collaborating across the entire software lifecycle.
You will design and deliver solutions for cloud-hosted production infrastructure serving Fortune 100 enterprises. Key responsibilities include architecting and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality deployments, designing resilient and observable cloud infrastructure with cost optimization, and providing technical leadership through code review and mentorship. You'll participate in on-call rotations, evaluate emerging technologies, and communicate technical insights across the organization to help teams grow.
Required experience includes scalable distributed systems architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Go programming, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and automated deployment frameworks. You should have deep expertise in deployment automation best practices, Git workflows, and a CS degree or equivalent professional experience.
Advantage areas include networking fundamentals (routing, DNS, security, failure modes), identity and access management, instrumentation of automated systems, customer deployment troubleshooting, distributed team collaboration, and CI/CD pipeline development. This is a senior individual contributor role with company-wide technical scope, influencing how mission-critical enterprise software is built and operated at scale.
