Redox is a healthcare interoperability platform that connects and powers real-time data exchange across 12,000+ healthcare systems and organizations. The company processes over 1.2 billion messages monthly, serving health tech vendors, providers, payers, EHRs, and life sciences customers.
As a Staff Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure and practices across Redox's platform. This is a company-wide technical leadership position responsible for setting security standards, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the platform meets the highest security and compliance requirements for healthcare data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing security architecture for a platform handling sensitive healthcare data at scale
- Leading security initiatives across engineering teams
- Establishing security best practices, standards, and processes
- Conducting threat modeling and security assessments
- Mentoring and guiding engineers on security implementation
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
- Responding to and investigating security incidents
- Collaborating with product, operations, and compliance teams
- Staying current with emerging security threats and technologies
You will work with a team processing billions of healthcare messages monthly, requiring deep expertise in secure system design, data protection, and healthcare compliance.
