As Staff Security Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead for the Security Engineering team, driving both technical excellence and team development. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary technical interface between Security Engineering and the broader engineering organization
- Influencing system architecture and embedding 'secure by design' principles across all development
- Building Security as Code solutions that enable consistent controls without slowing delivery velocity
- Conducting security assessments for new projects and technologies using threat modeling
- Defining standardized, repeatable security patterns for the wider engineering organization
- Coaching and developing Security Engineering team members
- Identifying risks early in the development lifecycle
You will work in a high-trust, autonomous environment where you own work end-to-end and have broad exposure to meaningful technical challenges. The role requires deep expertise in both application and cloud security domains, with the ability to find win-win solutions that embed security into modern development workflows while protecting customers across the payments ecosystem.
