vCluster Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for vMetal, a core platform component that discovers, provisions, configures, and manages physical hardware for AI Cloud operators and hyperscalers. This role owns the systems that transform bare metal infrastructure into a programmable platform, working directly with the Head of Product and engineering leadership to shape the product's strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Direction: Align business priorities and technical direction for vMetal, translating strategy into executable engineering specs. You'll guide the product from beta through early releases, shaping its evolution.
- Product Leadership Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Head of Product and engineering leadership on vMetal's roadmap and technical decisions.
- Hands-on Validation: Run alpha and beta builds yourself, including against real bare metal hardware where feasible, to catch integration issues before customers encounter them.
- Customer Intelligence: Engage directly with platform engineers and architects at AI Cloud operators and hyperscalers running bare metal infrastructure at scale.
- Market Positioning: Track the bare metal and GPU infrastructure ecosystem, sharpen messaging for technical buyers, and partner with GTM on positioning that resonates.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Bridge engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure product delivery aligns with how the company sells and supports it.
