As Staff Product Manager for Internal Audit, you will own the strategy for how Fieldguide wins the internal audit market and define the roadmap to get there. Internal audit functions are under significant pressure: budget cuts have risen from 11% to 19% year-over-year, while staff cuts climbed from 11% to 18%, even as the audit universe continues to grow. Your role is to build products that help these under-resourced teams do more with less.
Key responsibilities:
- Shape product strategy for Fieldguide's corporate internal audit line, from market entry through sequenced roadmap development
- Build enterprise-grade AI agents that increase efficiency, quality, and practitioner experience across the audit lifecycle—from planning and risk assessment through audit execution and reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams (customer success, sales, marketing) to gather feedback, communicate product strategy, and drive feature adoption
- Work directly with Chief Audit Executives, VPs of Internal Audit, and Heads of IT Audit, including onsite visits, and translate learnings into roadmap decisions
You will need to hold a strategic position under sustained pressure from commercial stakeholders while remaining open to changing course when the argument is genuinely good. The role requires comfort working with detail-oriented, skeptical audiences and translating their workflows into product requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of product management experience
- Experience with internal audit, SOX, risk, or another regulated compliance workflow, either as a practitioner or as a PM who has built software for that market
- Fluency in audit vocabulary: audit universe, entity-level controls, risk and control matrices, walkthroughs, deficiency severity, remediation, external auditor reliance
- Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing LLM and agent architecture, evals, and tradeoffs with engineers without needing to write code
- Ability to hold a strategic position under sustained pressure from commercial stakeholders and change it when warranted by good arguments
- Comfort working with detail-oriented, skeptical audiences and translating their workflows into product requirements
