Brex is a leading intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally with corporate cards, banking, spend management, and AI-native automation. The Card product is a core revenue engine, and this Staff Product Manager role owns the strategic direction for operational spend across the card portfolio. You will shape the card program strategy for operational spend, identifying and executing portfolio-level opportunities to grow card volume, share of wallet, and recurring revenue. Your scope spans the full card lifecycle: issuance, authorizations, controls, servicing, and economics. You'll connect these payment fundamentals to differentiated customer experiences, particularly for critical vendors and operational workflows. Key responsibilities include owning card-program strategy for operational spend; finding portfolio-level growth opportunities; building purchasing-card experiences for critical workflows; connecting issuance, authorizations, controls, servicing, and economics into unified strategy; leveraging AI to monitor program health and automate servicing; aligning Card Infrastructure, Spend Provisioning, Risk, Operations, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams on execution; and growing the portfolio while maintaining authorization performance, reliability, and customer trust. You'll own key metrics including card volume, recurring revenue, authorization performance, reliability, and workflow adoption. This is a scaled-growth role with direct commercial impact, requiring you to lead multiple workstreams without reducing strategy to a feature roadmap. The ideal candidate has a track record of growing scaled products, revenue portfolios, marketplaces, or financial systems. You should demonstrate exceptional quantitative judgment across cohort, portfolio, behavioral, and economic metrics, with material impact on payment volume, transactions, revenue, or similar scaled metrics. Strong systems thinking across infrastructure, operations, economics, and customer experience is essential. Card or payments experience is valuable; strong scaled-growth experience in adjacent financial products can substitute. You'll need strong cross-functional communication and influence across technical, operational, risk, and commercial teams.
