Orbital is an AI-powered platform transforming commercial real estate transactions through an intelligent copilot built for real estate lawyers. The company has just raised $60M in Series B funding and is expanding across UK and US markets.
In this Staff Product Engineer role, you'll architect and lead the development of key product features that automate complex due diligence workflows. You'll own projects end-to-end, guiding small teams of 2-4 engineers to deliver production systems that handle massive scale (1+ trillion tokens). Your technical leadership will shape how the company scales from processing 200,000 transactions toward industry-wide transformation.
Key responsibilities include: leading feature development from concept through production, setting technical direction and architecture; directing AI coding agents to generate and refine production-quality software; working across a modern stack (TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Python); and rapidly shipping customer-facing features. You'll work at the frontier of AI-assisted development, critiquing and improving AI-generated output with high technical standards.
The ideal candidate brings deep conviction that AI will reshape industries, evidence of reaching excellence in professional or academic domains, and a generalist mindset willing to work across product, design, and AI boundaries. You should have experience building modern agentic systems or reasoning through complex ML products, a track record with high-growth products generating millions in ARR, and rapid career progression (e.g., junior to senior in under 5 years).
Orbital offers competitive salary plus equity in a Series B startup, hybrid working (1-2 days/week in Farringdon office), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, personal development budget, and flexible working hours. The environment is fast-paced with high standards and genuine ownership opportunities, but not suited for those seeking predictable, low-intensity roles or traditional career ladders.
