Outtake is an agentic AI platform that detects, monitors, and takes down impersonators and fraud at scale. Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, the company is backed by top-tier investors and operates with strong financial footing and long runway.
You will be Outtake's third product designer, working closely with product and engineering to shape how the platform looks, feels, and works—from complex workflow builders to intuitive interactions. The role is full-stack product design in a rapidly evolving space focused on trust, fraud detection, and disinformation prevention.
Key responsibilities:
- Design complex interfaces that help users investigate threats, explore connections across campaigns, and direct AI agents
- Make autonomous agent work visible, understandable, and easy to steer
- Shape visual design across the product and establish how Outtake looks and feels as it scales
- Partner closely with engineering and product to ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback
- Contribute to UX decisions and product strategy, not just execution
- Evolve the design system and bring AI into prototyping and building practices
- Create tools and practices that help designers, engineers, and product managers move faster and ship consistently well-designed products
- Engage directly with customers to ground work in real problems
- As the design team grows, take on broader ownership over design culture and practice
The team is in-person in Brooklyn (5 days/week, with flexibility as needed), prioritizing collaboration, speed, and clarity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally at early-stage or high-growth companies where you owned outcomes end-to-end
- Comfort designing technically complex products; ability to get deep into a domain, solve unfamiliar UX problems, and make layered information clear and useful
- Deeply product-minded approach with genuine care for users and desire to grow product strategy skills
- Low ego; ability to give and receive feedback openly without getting precious about work
- Bias toward moving fast and iterating; shipping v1s and improving rather than polishing in isolation
- Comfort working collaboratively while navigating ambiguity and owning work fully without hand-holding
- Strong visual design instincts with a sharp eye that elevates craft
Nice to have:
- Experience designing for AI, automation, or agent-based systems
- Background in cybersecurity, trust & safety, or risk-related products
- Familiarity with prototyping tools beyond static mocks
- Active use of AI tools in design workflow with ongoing experimentation
- Experience as an early design hire who helped shape design culture from the ground up
