Superhuman (which includes Grammarly, Coda, Mail, and Go) is hiring a Staff Product Designer to join the Agents team in Berlin. You'll design zero-to-one AI agents and new interaction patterns for how humans and AI work together across writing, communication, and productivity workflows. This is exploratory, invention-focused work—you'll be defining interaction patterns that don't yet exist rather than applying established ones. You'll work end-to-end with engineering and product teams spanning Kyiv to Silicon Valley, partnering closely on new agents across Grammarly and Superhuman Go. The role involves pioneering new AI design workflows where the design process itself is evolving: starting in code, refining in Figma, and shipping frontend changes back into the codebase. You'll shape design strategy by bringing user insights, prototyping ideas, and building a longer-term vision for the Agents roadmap. You'll also lead and mentor less experienced designers, raising standards through critique and close collaboration. The team spans San Francisco and Europe, composed of designers from top product companies. You'll have significant learning opportunities in a design-focused environment. Superhuman offers a dynamic hybrid model balancing focus time with in-person collaboration to foster innovation and team culture. QUALIFICATIONS: - Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma and Claude Design - Extensive experience designing complex, scalable software (productivity tools, creative software, CAD, developer tools); depth primarily on desktop - Genuine interest in AI technology, both conceptually and in practical workflows (reading, writing, translating); already experimenting with AI-driven prototyping - Strong care for language and writing; understanding of how sentences work, what makes writing sound human, and how tone shifts by audience - Comfortable working with metrics and data-driven design decision-making - Bonus: direct experience working in code and shipping PRs to production
