The company offers core banking products (checking accounts, debit and credit cards) alongside a proprietary award travel booking engine that automates the search and booking of award flights using Taekus points. You will join the design team as a Product Designer reporting directly to design leadership. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you'll shape the visual and interaction experience across web and mobile products, covering both banking and travel booking flows. The company emphasizes that UX matters, but visual quality is non-negotiable—customers expect a premium experience and the bar for design polish is high.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing web and mobile experiences across banking features (accounts, cards, transactions) and travel features (award search, booking, itineraries)
- Driving designs from early concepts to polished, production-ready UI
- Extending and evolving the design system to raise consistency and quality as the product scales
- Translating Taekus brand identity into UI to ensure the premium feel comes through in the product
- Providing light brand and marketing support through occasional brand assets or visual direction work
- Collaborating closely with engineering (React/TypeScript) and product teams to ship high-quality work

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in design, including 3+ years in product design, ideally in fintech, travel, or consumer apps
- Has shipped at least one real product, not just concept work
- Experience contributing to a design system or UI library
- Strong portfolio with exceptional visual design sensibility; polished, beautiful work required
- Experience designing for both web and mobile (iOS/Android)
- Proficiency in Figma
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, lean startup with high autonomy
- Bonus: personal interest in travel hacking, points, and miles
