Culture Amp is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to own the engineering and architecture of the company's foundational Internal Technology platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on workforce identity, core enterprise SaaS tenancy, office network controls, and infrastructure deployment pipelines. You will architect and maintain the root configuration, tenancy guardrails, and system integrity of core enterprise platforms including Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, Claude Enterprise, and Glean. You'll design and continuously improve workforce identity, access management, device trust, and endpoint controls using Infrastructure as Code (primarily Terraform) and related automation tooling. Key responsibilities include eliminating manual configuration (ClickOps) by managing platform configuration and identity policies through pull requests, tested CI/CD pipelines, and approved scripting patterns with rigorous Git workflows. You'll own the end-to-end identity lifecycle across joiner, mover, and leaver workflows, including HRIS-to-identity integrations, provisioning rules, and group structures. You will build and productize reusable modules, administrative tooling, standard operating procedures, and runbooks to enable the Workplace Technology team to safely manage routine support and provisioning without senior engineering intervention. Additionally, you'll own the baseline architecture of office networks across Culture Amp's Melbourne hub and satellite locations while partnering with Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Automation teams. The role requires strong systems-thinking and architecture skills to design resilient identity, SaaS, and network architectures as an interconnected enterprise control plane. You should have sound judgment in defining platform boundaries, a strong anti-ClickOps mindset favoring code and automation, and experience with infrastructure-as-code practices. Culture Amp asks most employees to work from their local office an average of 2 days per week to foster connection and culture.
