Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. The Integrated Performance team owns the holistic view of how Terran R comes together, ensuring every system on the vehicle and ground achieves ambitious objectives. The Loads & Dynamics team works collaboratively with Flight Sciences teams (Dynamic Environments, Aerodynamics) and across Structures, Mechanisms, Fluids, GNCP, Launch, and Test teams to develop robust vehicle and ground system architectures, generate associated loads, maintain and improve analysis tools, provide design and test guidance, and contribute to performance trades on time and budget. As a Staff Loads & Dynamics Engineer, you will drive maturation of hardware designs and operational decisions through analysis, understanding of vehicle and program needs, and proactive cross-team communication. You will lead development, execution, delivery, and validation of Dynamic analyses such as Coupled Loads Analysis and Vibroacoustic Analysis, including tooling and automation. You'll develop and maintain analysis methodologies and tools, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical strategy across the loads and dynamics domain. The role requires high autonomy and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. You'll engage hands-on with hardware and operations, with authority to drive meaningful programmatic change. Individual contributors have meaningful impact within a team structure large enough to support complex development yet small enough for direct influence on all parts of the product lifecycle, from conceptual design to post-flight data review.
