Salary: USD 150,000 - 225,000 / annual
Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, is a growth-stage AI platform company serving public safety organizations, state and local governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions. The company transforms siloed data into operational intelligence and currently supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries.
This is a founding role on Peregrine's Business Technologies team—the second hire on the team. You'll work alongside the TPM Lead to design and build internal infrastructure from the ground up, defining how systems are built, automated, and scaled across identity, SaaS, and cloud platforms.
The role is engineering-first, focused on workflow automation, system integrations, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and tooling that operates at company scale. You'll partner directly with IT, Security, and business teams (Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal) to set architectural direction and execute strategic initiatives. The goal is to bring the same rigor and scalability applied to customer-facing products to the systems the company runs on. While IT support coverage is part of the role, the primary focus is building the platform that prevents support problems from occurring.
You'll be responsible for designing identity and access management systems, managing cloud infrastructure, automating IT workflows, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This role requires comfort working in ambiguity, making architectural decisions without full consensus, and shipping in a high-growth environment.
Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing identity platform integrations (Okta, Entra ID, etc.), managing MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune), building automation workflows in Python and scripting languages, managing Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), and exploring AI/LLM applications for IT operations automation.
