Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the next generation of energy-efficient compute platforms. They own and operate the full stack from power generation through cloud services to support large-scale AI workloads. As a Staff Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will establish and maintain a high-assurance security posture across Crusoe's global compute platform. You'll drive comprehensive Infrastructure Security Posture Management (ISPM) using tools like Wiz to identify risks, misconfigurations, and drift across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Your work will span multiple critical domains: You'll champion Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform to enforce secure defaults and immutability. You'll design and build automated security guardrails embedded into CI/CD and deployment pipelines, ensuring security is enforced at the infrastructure layer rather than as an afterthought. You'll operate security-as-a-service platforms including secrets management and certificate lifecycle management (X.509, SSH) to support secure machine-to-machine trust. A significant focus will be on identity and access control—specifically designing identity-centric systems with short-lived, Just-In-Time (JIT) access models and Zero Trust principles to eliminate standing privileges. You'll also secure core network foundations including global DNS architecture, service discovery, and network authentication systems. You'll partner closely with infrastructure, platform, and SRE teams to identify and remediate security gaps in foundational systems. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll leverage deep expertise in Linux, containers, Kubernetes, cloud control planes, cryptography, PKI, and modern authentication standards. Experience with bare-metal environments, high-scale cloud infrastructure, and internal security platform development is highly valued.
