Ripple is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to join its Sydney office and help build the future of corporate treasury and the Internet of Value. This role focuses on designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade infrastructure for GTreasury (acquired by Ripple in 2025), a treasury command center serving some of the world's largest corporations.
You will own the infrastructure powering the enterprise reconciliation application used by finance professionals globally. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems, working with technical teams on infrastructure design and deployment, providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, and driving engineering excellence through standardized methodologies for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure, with at least 4+ years as a technical lead mentoring engineers. You should have deep expertise in Linux and Windows server environments, strong cloud infrastructure experience on AWS and Azure, and proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible. Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), data infrastructure (Spark, MSSQL), and high-volume transactional workloads—ideally in finance—is essential. Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
You'll work collaboratively across diverse teams in a fast-paced environment, shipping reliable infrastructure using Agile practices. A BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
