Form Energy is seeking an exceptional Global Supply Manager to build a world-class supply base for breakthrough iron-air battery technology. This role reports to the Director of Global Supply Management and offers the opportunity to own strategic sourcing categories from first principles, with no existing playbook.
You will take full ownership of a strategic sourcing category, managing the supply base, supplier relationships, contracts, and the entire value chain from raw materials through sub-tier vendors. Working closely with Leadership, Supply Chain, Engineering, and cross-functional teams, you will shape Form's sourcing strategy and drive execution end-to-end.
Key responsibilities include: winning exceptional commercial terms through sharp negotiation on pricing, lead times, and risk; running the complete sourcing process from supplier discovery through qualification, negotiation, and contracting; protecting Form from supply chain risk through deep cost analysis and risk assessment; building category strategy and playbooks from scratch; and staying ahead of market trends by tracking supplier capacity, competitive dynamics, technology roadmaps, and supply/demand shifts.
You bring a proven track record in strategic sourcing with sharp instincts for market mechanics and manufacturing processes, developed in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. You can parachute into new categories, learn quickly, and go deep on technical details with minimal oversight. You are fluent in commercial terms, contract structures, and IP concepts, with a fact-driven, detail-obsessed mindset. You have a history of leading high-stakes negotiations and turning around broken supplier relationships with measurable results. Your magnetic communication skills enable you to build trust quickly, rally teams around plans, and execute. You are able to work in the US and travel globally as needed.
