Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Staff Global Sourcing Manager for Energetics/Munitions. This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for sourcing critical components, materials, and services that power Anduril's defense systems. You will serve as the domain expert for energetics commodities, developing new supplier partnerships and optimizing existing sourcing strategies.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing commodity strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. You will own end-to-end sourcing for energetics manufacturing, leading RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and managing relationships with contract manufacturers. This includes responsibility for continuity of supply, risk management, cost negotiations, and new product introduction through manufacturing ramp.
You will partner closely with engineering teams and contract manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements. Your analytical skills will be critical—performing detailed cost breakdowns, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and data-driven supplier selection. You will negotiate key commercial agreements covering pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential. You will work with internal teams to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and influence contract manufacturers' processes, capital expenditure decisions, and technology choices. You will conduct regular technology reviews for executive staff, manage supplier performance metrics (delivery, quality, cost, innovation), and serve as the primary escalation point for your commodity.
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 10+ years in supply chain commodity management of energetics/missiles manufacturing or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA. Preferred: degree in electrical or mechanical engineering; prior defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech experience; TCO analysis expertise; strategic commodity roadmap development; proven cross-functional leadership; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
