Okta is hiring a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join the Flow Builder team within Okta Workflows, a secure no-code automation platform used by enterprises like Netflix, MGM, and NTT to automate identity-centric workflows across cloud applications.
In this role, you will lead technical initiatives spanning front-end and back-end services, delivering performant, secure, and scalable features for the core no-code canvas. You'll design and build end-to-end features using modern JavaScript and cloud-native technologies (React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL), lead technical design for key initiatives, and own services throughout their lifecycle including implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and incident response.
Key responsibilities include designing reusable and performant UI components for the no-code builder, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Architecture teams to define features, partnering with infrastructure and platform teams to optimize system performance, mentoring engineers across the team, and contributing to cross-functional planning and architectural reviews.
You'll need 8+ years of experience building modern web applications in a full-stack environment, with deep expertise in TypeScript, ReactJS, and Node.js. Experience designing APIs and building robust services at scale in distributed, cloud-based architectures is essential. You should be proficient with PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes, with a passion for craftsmanship and high engineering standards. Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions and build consensus across functions are critical. Experience with low-code/no-code tools, workflow engines, or AI-assisted developer tooling is a plus.
The role is hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week) in Bengaluru with in-person onboarding required during the first week of employment. This is a high-impact position in a growing, strategic product area with strong executive visibility.
