Okta is seeking a highly skilled Staff Full Stack Engineer to join the Digital Technology team. This role focuses on building and optimizing the company's digital infrastructure, working across the full technology stack from React/Next.js frontends and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS environments to cloud infrastructure on Vercel and Cloudflare.
You will own end-to-end initiatives, translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, performant code while maintaining a sharp eye for user experience. Key responsibilities include:
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives spanning code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, and release planning
• Translate designs and wireframes into efficient, reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Optimize frontend performance through caching strategies, asset management, and page load optimization
• Contribute to technical documentation, component libraries, and style guides
• Stay current with industry trends in accessibility (WCAG), usability, and emerging web technologies
• Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and automate testing
• Partner closely with design teams as a technical consultant, providing early-stage feasibility feedback
• Develop polished CSS animations that enhance user interfaces across all devices
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of advanced full-stack experience: expert-level React (Hooks, Context, state management), modern CSS/styling approaches, Node.js backend work, API design, CMS integration experience, and cloud infrastructure knowledge (Vercel, AWS, Cloudflare). You should demonstrate an ownership mentality, intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies, and strong communication skills. Extra value comes from headless AEM experience, Figma proficiency, frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright), and ability to leverage LLMs like Claude for agentic solutions.
