Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Fuel Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced fuel systems for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. This is a senior individual contributor role within the Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team, responsible for the full development lifecycle of fuel systems from concept through integration and flight test.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing aircraft fuel systems supporting multiple air vehicle programs; performing detailed design of fuel system components including tubing, pumps, filtration, gauging, venting, and refueling/defueling systems; partnering with software engineering, systems, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers on cross-functional integration; supporting component selection, prototype builds, qualification testing, and system integration; and collaborating with senior engineers and fuel systems architects while taking ownership of increasingly complex fuel system designs.
Required qualifications: B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; 12+ years of experience designing aircraft fuel systems or closely related aerospace fluid systems; experience supporting product lifecycle from concept through testing and qualification; proficiency with Siemens NX or comparable CAD software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks); strong understanding of fluid mechanics and mechanical design fundamentals; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience with suppliers, component selection, or prototype development; experience with one-dimensional fluid analysis tools (AMESIM, Flowmaster, Easy5, or similar); and active U.S. Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
