Heidi Health is building AI-powered clinical tools that reduce administrative burden on healthcare providers. The company has achieved significant scale—supporting 2.5 million patient sessions weekly across 190+ countries—and is now expanding its product platform. As Staff Frontend Solution Architect, you will own the design and evolution of Heidi's frontend architecture across web and mobile platforms. Your responsibilities include architecting scalable systems, building and maintaining reusable component libraries, and establishing frontend development standards around performance, accessibility, and user experience. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and backend teams to create cohesive solutions. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to frontend engineers, champion best practices, and identify tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency. The role balances delivering new product features with managing technical debt, requiring you to autonomously deliver high-quality code while solving complex edge cases for clinicians and health systems. Required experience includes 6+ years of professional frontend development with deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You should have proven success scaling frontend architectures in high-growth SaaS environments, strong experience with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx, Bazel), and hands-on expertise designing and evolving design systems at scale. Experience with micro-frontend architectures, modern testing practices (TDD, BDD, Playwright, end-to-end testing), and AI-assisted coding tools is expected. Natural technical leadership, mentoring capability, and excellent collaboration skills are essential. Heidi's culture emphasizes real-world impact, evidence-driven decision-making, and outcome-focused execution. The team values sustainable performance, mental health, and trusting engineers to set their own schedules. You'll work alongside clinicians, engineers, and designers committed to solving healthcare's most pressing problems.
