Salary: CZK 2,295,000 - 3,305,000 / annual
Productboard is hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead the migration from their legacy design system to Spark UI, a component system built to be legible to both humans and AI agents. You'll shape the primitives, contracts, and documentation that enable engineers, PMs, and AI agents to assemble production interfaces efficiently.
In this role, you'll own end-to-end outcomes on a high-impact initiative: modernizing the frontend architecture to support AI-first workflows. You'll design and implement agent-ready component systems, define clear module boundaries, improve API contracts, and build structured documentation that makes AI agents more effective. You'll also design multi-step agent workflows beyond simple chat, run experiments with real users, and iterate based on evidence.
Productboard operates with minimal process: one named driver per initiative with end-to-end ownership, no approval chains, and continuous delivery rather than quarterly planning. You'll collaborate closely with product managers and designers, bringing product thinking to engineering decisions. The company invests heavily in AI tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Glean) and embeds AI Champions on every team to help you move faster.
You'll need 5+ years building web apps with React and JavaScript/TypeScript, strong frontend architecture and performance expertise, and experience mentoring teammates. Ideally, you've been a founding engineer or founder, built agentic systems in production, or done deep work with multi-step LLM workflows. You should embrace AI as a daily tool, be curious about agent-native architecture, and bring product thinking to technical decisions.
The company ships to internal first, then beta, then GA. PMs and designers prototype and ship alongside engineers. You'll participate in Ship It with AI days (48-hour sprints every six weeks) and monthly engineer-to-engineer knowledge-sharing events.
