Qualified Health is building AI infrastructure for safe, governed generative AI in healthcare. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of the user experience for their AI SaaS platform, working alongside healthcare systems to drive real clinical impact. You'll own the frontend architecture and user experience, translating complex healthcare workflows into intuitive, performant interfaces. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing the AI platform's UI, writing clean and maintainable code using modern React/Vite stacks, implementing responsive design and accessibility standards, and rapidly iterating based on user feedback and analytics. You'll participate in code reviews, contribute to overall system architecture, and work closely with design, product, and backend teams to integrate frontend implementations with upstream services. The role requires strong expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend frameworks, particularly React. You should have hands-on experience with design systems (Tailwind, Shadcn), API consumption (REST, GraphQL), performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright). The ideal candidate has 8+ years of relevant industry experience, familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js), modern build tools (Webpack, NPM, GitHub Actions), and prior experience on production-scale SaaS or AI platforms. This is a founding-team opportunity at a seed-stage, well-funded startup poised to transform healthcare. You'll work in a mission-driven environment with competitive salary ($180–$210K), equity, comprehensive benefits, and flexible hybrid arrangements (3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto). The team values creativity, rapid iteration, and a customer-first mindset.
