Salary: USD 112,800 - 169,200 / annual

You will serve as a Staff FP&A Business Partner, playing a vital role in IonQ's financial strategy and planning. This is a cross-functional role where you'll work across all IonQ departments to forecast, measure, visualize, and analyze financial aspects of the business. You'll have direct access to leaders throughout the organization and will partner with them to shape the company's future.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting leaders across IonQ with thoughtful financial analysis to maximize long-term business value
- Guiding departments through strategic planning processes and identifying key opportunities
- Partnering with department leaders to structure budgets and forecasts
- Collaborating on company-wide budget development
- Contributing to spending measurability and control
- Producing timely and accurate financial reports for various stakeholders
- Serving as a financial strategist for cross-functional initiatives such as product definition and manufacturing
- Improving planning and reporting processes and systems
- Supporting investor relations and corporate development functions, including quarterly earnings processes
You will be part of the broader finance team, gaining valuable skills and mentorship to support your development as a finance professional. Your work will be central to IonQ's mission of building the world's best quantum computers.
Travel: Up to 5% required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Finance, math, or a technical field (engineering, physics, etc.)
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience
- High degree of comfort working with financial statements and Microsoft Excel models
- Superb oral, written, and visual communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a top-tier banking, consulting, finance, or strategy analyst program
- Experience in a financial planning & analysis capacity with familiarity with budgeting and strategic planning processes
- Experience in a rapid-growth startup or technology business
- Enthusiasm for quantum computing, engineering, and physics
- Knack for understanding, simplifying, and communicating highly technical information
