Nearmap is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and develop the accounts receivable function. This role combines hands-on accounting work with team leadership and strategic process improvement. You will supervise and develop AR associates responsible for collecting, reconciling, and analyzing accounts. Key responsibilities include: • Leading, training, and developing AR staff; conducting performance reviews and managing corrective action plans • Overseeing all AR activities including collections, reconciliations, and account analysis • Producing financial reports and performing technical accounting tasks (bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation) • Monitoring quality assurance with customers and ensuring departmental goals are met • Supporting the Staff Accountant on general ledger questions, balance sheet analysis, and GAAP-compliant financial presentations • Identifying and recommending workflow improvements to reduce labor costs and improve cash flows • Developing, implementing, and revising departmental policies and procedures • Facilitating the introduction of new accounting technology to support company expansion • Creating and updating training manuals for accounting functions • Fostering communication and collaboration across departments Nearmap is a property intelligence company that uses technology to help customers understand the built environment. REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience (Required): • AA or AS in Accounting or Business Administration with accounting emphasis from an accredited university, OR BA/BS degree (preferred) • Minimum 3 years of accounting-related experience • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience • Proficient knowledge of accounting theories • High-level proficiency with Excel and Word • Knowledge of Great Plains helpful but not required • Ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of employees • Strong leadership and team-building skills Key Competencies: • Results-oriented: ability to plan, schedule, and organize work to achieve strategic goals within established timeframes • Adaptability to change: flexibility and ability to react positively in a rapid-growth environment • Interpersonal communication: choosing appropriate communication behaviors and managing emotions effectively • Team orientation and collaboration: building collaborative relationships and shared responsibility • Accountability: ownership of decisions, actions, and results; embracing experimentation and positive change • Cultural competence: understanding and respecting diverse values, attitudes, and beliefs
