Stacklok, founded by two of Kubernetes' creators, is building the control plane for enterprise AI agents. The company enables organizations to run, govern, and secure AI agents on trusted infrastructure through Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers running across Kubernetes and private cloud environments. The platform helps enterprises adopt AI with confidence while meeting strict security, compliance, and operational requirements.
As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead for the US-East and EMEA region, embedding directly with enterprise customers to take them from initial evaluation through production deployment. This is a hands-on field role that combines deep technical expertise with customer leadership and organizational influence.
Your responsibilities include leading end-to-end forward deployed engagements, owning the region's technical escalation point for complex Kubernetes and platform problems, designing and delivering platform changes that unblock enterprise adoption, and defining reusable reference architectures that the broader team builds upon. Beyond customer work, you will shape technical direction, mentor engineers across the team, and ensure field insights directly influence product and roadmap decisions.
In your first 6-12 months, you will lead live customer engagements within 90 days, take design partners from evaluation to production deployment, establish the region's engagement model with runbooks and standards, raise the technical bar across the team, and surface field insights that drive product decisions. The role requires substantial technical depth spanning complex Kubernetes deployments, enterprise operational constraints, and the specific challenges of bringing AI initiatives to production in highly regulated organizations.
This is a remote position with a strong preference for US Eastern Time Zone candidates. Occasional travel may be required for customer visits, company offsites, and conferences.
