Your responsibilities include crafting compelling technical value stories to help the sales team close deals, architecting and maintaining production demo and POV infrastructure at scale, and creating end-to-end technical training content (workshops, guides, demo scripts) for one or more product areas. You will establish repeatable content review cadences in partnership with Enablement and Product Management, act as a key influencer in product direction, and represent Field Engineering in product planning cycles to surface enablement gaps. You will serve as a presenter for strategic marketing events, provide technical guidance to Solution Engineers and customers, contribute to product documentation and white papers, and mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers. The company operates on a culture of transparency, autonomy, and trust, with an open-source legacy and global collaborative environment. REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 8+ years of related technical experience, including 2+ years in a Senior Field Engineer role or equivalent (SRE, Developer, Architect, or presales Solution Architect). OSS development experience is a plus. - Excellent understanding of Grafana and associated technologies, with recognized SME depth in at least one area of the Grafana Platform; deep working knowledge across multiple observability technologies (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog, etc.). - Expert-level knowledge in at least one adjacent domain (e.g., IoT, AI/ML) beyond the core observability stack, with demonstrated domain knowledge across the broader Grafana Ecosystem. - Has created and maintained at least one product training asset (workshop, guide, or structured content) adopted by the broader technical field organization. - Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to produce and maintain field-facing enablement content and influence roadmap priorities. - Comfortable with at least one modern programming language and strong understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation. - Working familiarity with Linux, including common tools. - Practical experience using AI tools to generate and review code while retaining full ownership of final decisions and quality criteria. - Ability to architect a modern application on primary cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including IaC tools such as Terraform, with understanding of tradeoffs between build vs. buy and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, and Microservices. - Proven track record building and delivering strategic technical content (workshops, demos, decks, webinars, videos) for technical audiences, including complex POVs and competitive objection content. - Deep understanding of the sales process with ability to anticipate and proactively address challenges in complex, strategic sales cycles.
