Zocdoc is a healthcare marketplace that empowers patients by making it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care across all 50 states, 200+ specialties, and 12,000+ insurance plans. As a Staff Enterprise and Cloud Engineer on the Corporate Cloud Engineering team within Corporate IT, you will own the technical vision and strategy for identity and access management (IAM) across Zocdoc's corporate infrastructure.
Your primary focus will be designing and implementing scalable identity governance using Microsoft Entra ID, enterprise SSO/SCIM standards (SAML, OIDC), and custom integrations across a diverse SaaS and AI platform estate. You'll architect secure access patterns for AI platforms like OpenAI and Anthropic, implementing thoughtful RBAC, tiered spend/quota governance, and automated approval workflows.
Key responsibilities include: owning the multi-year technical roadmap and architectural standards for Corporate and Cloud IAM; architecting secure SSO, SCIM, and JIT provisioning patterns for enterprise tools; defining configuration standards and security baselines across dozens of SaaS platforms; identifying and eliminating repetitive manual work through automation using Terraform, Python, or PowerShell; participating in tiered on-call rotation for access incident response and converting recurring pages into automated detections and self-healing workflows; and owning endpoint lifecycle and software distribution architecture.
You'll be a technical domain expert deeply fluent in Microsoft Entra ID, SSO/SCIM standards, and custom integrations. You'll act as a collaborative leader and mentor, modeling Staff-level behaviors by mentoring engineers, aligning stakeholders, and setting technical standards that drive adoption across the organization. You'll bring an outcome-oriented, automation-focused mindset with relentless focus on building self-service tools and eliminating toil. This role requires autonomy, curiosity, and the ability to solve challenging problems in a growing, high-scale environment while maintaining humility and humor.
