Fin is an AI Customer Agent company providing enterprise customer support solutions. As Staff Engineer for Web Platform, you will own the technical architecture and long-term strategy for Fin's web properties (fin.ai and related marketing/growth surfaces), which are critical growth levers for the company.
You will shape the technical direction of the web platform, ensuring it is modern, performant, measurable, and delightful for engineers to build on. This is a cross-functional leadership role partnering with marketing, analytics, design, data science, and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the architecture of Fin's web platform
- Defining long-term technical strategy focused on scalability, performance, developer productivity, observability, and reliability
- Collaborating with marketing, design, analytics, and data science to ensure the platform supports their goals with accuracy and agility
- Leading design and implementation of MarTech systems including event tracking, attribution, funnel reporting, and A/B testing infrastructure
- Partnering with engineers across web, infrastructure, and data teams to create a cohesive technical ecosystem
- Mentoring and elevating engineers across the team and organization
- Setting standards for technical excellence in reliability, maintainability, code quality, and operational readiness
- Providing technical leadership to Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and executives
- Contributing hands-on to the codebase, leading by example
Required qualifications: 8+ years software engineering experience in high-scale, growth-focused web environments. Deep expertise in Next.js and React ecosystem. Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), AWS/CloudFront/S3, and deployment platforms like Vercel. Experience designing experimentation infrastructure, A/B testing frameworks, event instrumentation, and attribution systems. Strong web analytics and data instrumentation knowledge. Full-stack awareness with emphasis on frontend architecture. Proven track record of technical leadership influencing direction across multiple teams. Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and mentorship mindset.
