Okta is seeking a Staff Engineer (Fullstack) to join the Enablement team in Bengaluru. The Enablement team is core to expanding Auth0's capabilities for B2B customers, enabling seamless and automated user lifecycle management at massive scale. You will help drive architectural vision and strategy, designing and delivering powerful enterprise APIs and functionality that enable customers to automate user creation, updating, and deactivation.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and leading major technical projects across teams; designing, coding, and documenting large-scale distributed systems; serving as a subject matter expert on scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems; mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers; collaborating with Product, Security, and other engineering teams to define and improve the platform; driving technical decision-making balancing simplicity, flexibility, reliability, and performance; and participating in on-call rotations.
You will work with NodeJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and React to build highly available and scalable services. The role requires 8+ years of experience with large-scale systems, solid architectural and security knowledge, and proven ability to design and evolve complex distributed systems. You should have strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript for backend services and APIs, full-stack capabilities with React, expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, containerization (Docker), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure). Excellent mentoring and communication skills are essential.
