Salary: USD 145,000 - 150,000 / annual
EnsoData is seeking a Staff Engineer to join its technology team in Madison, Wisconsin. This hybrid role offers ownership of critical full-stack systems across the EnsoSleep application, spanning APIs, data pipelines, backend infrastructure, and customer-facing interfaces.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing the EnsoSleep Customer Dashboard and internal monitoring dashboards; building and maintaining the interoperability interface with expanded integrations; designing customizable report generation templates; and investigating root-cause issues across backend, interoperability, and UI layers in collaboration with product and Customer Success teams.
EnsoData develops waveform AI technology that analyzes sensor data to improve healthcare accuracy, efficiency, and affordability. The company's flagship products—EnsoHST and EnsoSleep—are FDA-cleared solutions for sleep diagnosis and study management. The platform has potential applications across ICU monitoring, wearables, seizure detection, and early detection of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and Alzheimer's.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; 5+ years of software engineering experience; strong TypeScript and React.js expertise; strong Python experience with Flask or Django; SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) experience; HL7 and FHIR data exchange experience. Healthcare technology experience and proficiency with AI tools in development workflows are valued. The company prefers candidates located in Wisconsin or the Midwest.
