Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Staff Engineer to join the Trading Engineering team in Dublin. You'll work on the innovative heart of FBG's risk and trading domain, building and enhancing real-time systems that support sports betting operations at scale.
In this role, you'll contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions within an event-driven architecture. You'll tackle complex technical challenges in real-time decision-making systems, write efficient and testable code, and support the full product lifecycle from concept through deployment and beyond. Your work will directly impact how sports fans engage with the Fanatics ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and addressing complex problems in multifaceted systems, participating in code reviews to elevate quality, collaborating with Product, Quant, and Engineering teams, and engaging in mentorship opportunities. You'll play an active role in team discussions on planning and design, enhance software quality through testability and documentation, and develop a product-minded engineering perspective. The role includes participation in on-call rotations and occasional travel for offsite meetings and team collaboration.
