Shield AI is seeking a Staff Engineer, Embedded Firmware to join its engineering team in Dallas, Texas. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing embedded firmware systems for autonomous defense platforms. As a Staff Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guide firmware architecture decisions across projects, and contribute to establishing best practices for embedded systems development. You will collaborate with hardware engineers, autonomy software teams, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with autonomous systems. The position requires deep expertise in embedded C/C++, real-time operating systems, microcontroller programming, and hardware interfaces.
