Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is seeking a Staff Electrical Systems Advance Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, integration, and production support of advanced electrical systems for complex aerospace and defense platforms. This role drives manufacturability, production readiness, process development, root cause resolution, and continuous improvement across electrical assemblies and subsystems.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience supporting low-rate to high-rate production environments involving avionics, wiring harnesses, PCBAs, power systems, batteries, sensors, and mission-critical electrical hardware. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems meet stringent aerospace and defense standards while optimizing for scalable, efficient manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical systems design for manufacturability and production readiness
- Developing and implementing manufacturing processes for complex electrical assemblies
- Conducting root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting transition from development to production at scale
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, supply chain, quality, and operations
- Ensuring compliance with aerospace and defense regulatory requirements
