As a Staff Engineer, you will design and build customer-facing user experiences that aggregate data from multiple sources and deliver personalized, fast, and responsive interactions. You'll optimize mobile application performance by identifying and debugging application-level bottlenecks, improving mobile responsiveness, and enhancing backend services supporting the mobile experience.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with system architects and infrastructure teams to design scalable solutions capable of supporting increasing data volumes and user interactions; developing dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting tools for internal customers and engineering teams to monitor systems and surface data-driven insights; and contributing to mobile application development through code review, codebase analysis, and competitive evaluation.
You will partner closely with product management to support roadmap planning, assess technical feasibility, and ensure engineering decisions align with product, business, and user needs. You'll facilitate cross-functional collaboration through consistent communication with engineering leadership and internal stakeholders, provide technical mentorship to junior developers, lead code reviews, and help define engineering standards and best practices. Additionally, you'll research and evaluate emerging technologies, prototype solutions, and share findings to inform future product development.
The role is hybrid with a primary office at 61 9th Avenue, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10011, with partial telecommuting permitted.
