CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Digital/Mixed-Signal Electronics team. This role offers full-stack hardware development for complex modules and small systems used in satellites, spacecraft, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other aerospace platforms.
You will work across the entire product lifecycle—from concept development through detailed design, analysis, layout, build, test, and delivery—with hands-on involvement at each phase. The position introduces technical leadership opportunities, including responsibility for small teams of hardware engineers developing new products and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing leading-edge electronics for high-reliability space and airborne applications
- Conducting full-stack hardware development requiring both breadth and depth of technical knowledge
- Presenting engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership
- Contributing directly to business success through challenging, impactful technical work
- Maintaining high levels of technical rigor while operating with startup agility
The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with complex electronics design for aerospace/defense applications, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts the company's trajectory and product success.
