CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead full-stack hardware development for complex modules and systems serving satellites, spacecraft, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. This role spans the entire product lifecycle—from concept development through detailed design, analysis, layout, build, test, and delivery—with hands-on involvement at each phase.
As a Staff-level engineer, you will take on technical leadership responsibilities, owning critical designs and guiding teams of engineers developing new products and systems. You will drive innovation in leading-edge electronics for high-reliability space and aerospace applications, where designs demand rigorous technical standards while maintaining startup agility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-stack electrical hardware development for complex aerospace modules
- Concept-to-delivery ownership of critical designs
- Technical mentorship and leadership of engineering teams
- Design analysis, PCB layout, and system integration
- Build and test phases with hands-on problem-solving
- Presenting engineering design reviews to customers and executive leadership
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in electrical engineering for aerospace or space systems, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment where individual contributions directly impact business success. Experience with high-reliability applications, complex hardware systems, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.
