CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Digital/Mixed-Signal Electronics team. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. In this role, you will lead full-stack hardware development for complex modules and small systems, spanning from concept development through detailed design, analysis, layout, build, test, and delivery. You will perform hands-on technical work at each phase while providing technical leadership to small teams of hardware engineers developing new products and systems. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and developing high-reliability electronics for space and aerospace applications - Conducting full-cycle hardware development with emphasis on technical rigor and startup agility - Leading and mentoring junior hardware engineers - Presenting engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership - Collaborating across cross-functional teams in a dynamic startup environment The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in electrical engineering, experience with complex mixed-signal and digital systems, and a track record of leading technical teams. You must be comfortable with both hands-on design work and strategic technical direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will interface with customers and senior leadership. This is a high-impact role where your contributions directly influence the company's success. The work demands both breadth and depth of technical knowledge, with designs meeting stringent reliability requirements for mission-critical space applications.
