Ripple is building infrastructure for the global financial system using crypto and blockchain solutions. As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will lead the discovery, development, and implementation of solutions to improve infrastructure and release pipelines across Ripple's multi-region, multi-provider service platforms.
You will own the full spectrum of DevOps responsibilities: developing and maintaining production infrastructure, building automation and monitoring tools to reduce operational friction, leading next-generation infrastructure initiatives, and collaborating with product engineering teams to ensure code is production-ready. Your work will span developer infrastructure, production infrastructure layout and maintenance, capacity and load testing, CI/CD infrastructure, and release process automation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain Ripple's multi-region, multi-provider service platforms
- Build and supply automation, monitoring, and instrumentation tools to increase engineering efficiency
- Lead discovery of next-generation solutions and drive adoption across engineering teams
- Build and automate platform and application lifecycle services using data-driven approaches
- Collaborate with product engineering to ensure production readiness
- Champion DevOps-first principles across the organization
You bring 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java. You have extensive experience managing multi-region service platforms, deep knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS cloud infrastructure, and hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Rkt, OCI). You're skilled in CI/CD tools, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and security-aware infrastructure design. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy sharing knowledge, and are passionate about driving engineering standards and processes.
