Ivo is a contract intelligence platform that uses AI to analyze and extract insights from legal documents. The company serves enterprise customers like Uber, Meta, Canva, IBM, and Shopify, and recently completed a Series B funding round with 800% YoY growth.
As a Staff Cloud/ML Ops Engineer, you'll own the infrastructure foundation that powers Ivo's entire platform. Each customer receives an isolated environment (containers, database, VPC) to protect sensitive contract data, and you'll ensure the system meets strict SLAs even when cloud providers experience incidents or regions go down.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the Kubernetes platform across AWS/GCP/Azure
- Designing multi-cluster and multi-region architectures with failover and disaster recovery
- Building internal tooling for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management across dev, staging, and production
- Isolating ML and API workloads while optimizing for cost, performance, and reliability
- Implementing security and compliance controls (RBAC, workload identity, secrets management) with data residency and auditability for enterprise customers
- Partnering with SRE and ML teams to ensure realistic, enforceable SLOs
You'll need 7+ years of experience with hands-on Kubernetes in production (not just deployment experience), strong infrastructure-as-code skills (Pulumi, Terraform), deep understanding of cluster architecture, networking, storage, and distributed systems failure modes, and experience with multi-cluster/multi-region setups and GitHub CI/CD.
This is a high-impact role building the system that keeps the company running. You'll be embedded in the engineering team and encouraged to push frontiers around LLM infrastructure.
