Archer Technologies is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for sustainable air mobility. As Staff Battery Manufacturing Design Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and launch of advanced manufacturing lines for Archer's high-voltage battery pack and module production systems. You will own the technical strategy and execution for scaling battery manufacturing from prototype through high-volume production. Key responsibilities include: • Partner with the Battery Module and Pack Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and optimize production processes and equipment specifications • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Design Engineering, Test, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to launch flightworthy battery systems • Own multiple manufacturing stations and processes, including process development, process controls, operator training, and troubleshooting • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements and implement Lean and 5S methodologies to optimize line efficiency, product flow, safety, and cost • Develop manufacturing workflows, tooling, fixtures, workstations, and ergonomic solutions • Establish process capability and quality performance through PFMEA development, statistical process control, and KPI tracking • Support Material Review Board activities and non-conforming product disposition • Drive supplier development, procurement activities, and production readiness initiatives • Mentor junior engineers and drive alignment across manufacturing, design, supply chain, quality, facilities, and production teams This is a highly technical, hands-on role combining deep manufacturing engineering expertise with strong program leadership. You will thrive in a fast-paced development environment, scaling advanced manufacturing operations from concept through launch.
