As Staff Applications Hardware Engineer, you will drive the development of both internal and customer-facing evaluation hardware. This role works closely with the software development team, design engineering team, and field engineering team to deliver low-friction solutions for evaluating Ambiq's SoC performance and power characteristics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing evaluation hardware platforms for internal and external customers
- Collaborating across software, design, and field engineering teams to understand and satisfy customer needs
- Creating solutions that enable efficient testing and validation of semiconductor performance and power consumption
- Providing technical leadership on hardware architecture and implementation
- Working with customers to support their evaluation and integration efforts
The successful candidate should have strong experience with PCB design, schematic capture, hardware bring-up, and embedded systems. Experience with low-power design, IoT hardware, or semiconductor evaluation platforms is highly valued. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 5 days per week in NW Austin, Texas.
