CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Antenna Design Engineer to join its hardware team developing cutting-edge active phased array antenna (AESA) systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and aerospace platforms. The Skylark product line focuses on rapid design, build, and test of high-frequency antennas using PCB processes, spanning applications from high-power ground terminals for missile defense to commercial airline and helicopter connectivity solutions.
In this role, you will own antenna designs across the full lifecycle: concept and requirements definition, topology selection, detailed design, analysis, optimization, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. You will work on multiple aspects of phased array communication systems, including RF front-ends, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing, simulating, building, and testing high-frequency antennas in PCB processes.
Key responsibilities include leading technical design efforts, presenting engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership, and contributing to proposal-writing efforts. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment with emphasis on autonomous, hands-on work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for customer and executive engagement.
