Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator, is hiring Staff and Senior Product Managers across multiple teams and product areas. The company serves over 4 million Canadians and manages $125+ billion in assets under administration, offering a comprehensive suite of financial products including managed investing, trading, cryptocurrency, tax filing, and spending/saving tools.
In this role, you will own your product area end-to-end: defining the problem, writing clear requirements, and rallying cross-functional teams to ship. You'll build roadmaps based on data, client feedback, and market signals rather than internal politics. Close partnership with Engineering and Design is essential—you'll push for simple, intuitive experiences that clients love. You'll establish the right metrics to track success, talk directly with users, and iterate until outcomes are right. You'll communicate difficult tradeoffs clearly and help teams make good decisions quickly.
You bring years of experience shipping products people love, with a proven track record owning a product or major product area and leading complex cross-functional projects. You have a bias toward shipping: you understand that the fastest way to validate an idea is to put it in front of customers and learn from real usage. You possess enough technical fluency to discuss architecture and tradeoffs with engineers, and you're genuinely committed to financial inclusion and building products that expand access to financial freedom.
You're a systems thinker who can distill messy use cases into elegant solutions. You work hand-in-hand with engineering to translate logical design into technical architecture. You're comfortable working with raw, messy data—both qualitative and quantitative—to extract the actual problem and the requirement that matters. You're rigorous, scrappy, and willing to wear different hats: building business cases, mapping workflows, or negotiating with vendors and regulators. You communicate complex ideas simply without losing nuance, and you lead collaboratively with empathy, ensuring all stakeholder voices are heard.
