Eve is a legal technology platform serving plaintiff law firms with AI-native case management and workflow tools. The company has achieved product-market fit with 1000+ law firms, raised $160M from top-tier investors (Spark Capital, A16z, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed), and is growing 2X revenue quarter-over-quarter.
You will join Eve's central data team as Staff Analytics Engineer, reporting to the Head of Data Engineering (who reports directly to the CEO). Your primary domain is go-to-market (GTM) data modeling, where you will own the authoritative data model and set standards for the analytics engineering team.
Key responsibilities include:
**Model GTM Systems**: Partner with analysts and stakeholders to build semantic models for core SaaS metrics—pipeline coverage, funnel conversion, CAC, win rate, sales cycle time, ARR, and bookings. These models will be sourced from HubSpot, DealHub, Apollo, and Clay, built in the data warehouse and semantic layer rather than inside those tools. You will design, deploy, and maintain these as the trusted foundation for both analytics and AI consumption. You'll instrument models with alerting to surface failures and drift before stakeholders discover them, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
**Set Standards and Lead**: Own the metrics certification framework and catalog that determines what qualifies as a governed definition. Define modeling standards and semantic layer patterns that all analytics engineers and contributing analysts work within. You will arbitrate when teams define the same metric differently and make those calls stick. You'll establish patterns for analytical application development in tools like Omni and Hex, mentor analytics engineers, and set the technical bar for analytics engineering at Eve.
**Stakeholder Collaboration**: Sit with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to turn open questions into durable models. Stand up internal AI agents and data-grounded tools that give GTM stakeholders direct, trustworthy answers without waiting on tickets.
Data is a first-class function at Eve and the fuel driving future growth.
**Requirements**:
- 8+ years in analytics engineering, including time at staff or senior IC level setting technical direction others followed
- Extensive proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and transformation with deep dbt expertise: advanced modeling patterns, macros, packages, and testing; experience building SCD tables from multiple sources
- Expert knowledge of modern stack: Snowflake, dbt, and semantic or BI layer (Omni, Hex)
- Experience designing semantic models or metric layers for human and AI consumption
- Experience modeling GTM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to resolve "these numbers don't match" problems across teams with conflicting definitions and get everyone to one definition
- Experience setting modeling standards others follow and reviewing contributions from people outside your team
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development (Claude Code), including agentic pipeline design and skill-based workflows; comfort integrating tools via MCP servers
- Strong communication, mentoring habits, and comfort building where playbooks don't exist yet
**Nice to haves**:
- Experience in regulated or high-sensitivity data environments (legal, healthcare, financial services)
- Experience enabling analysts outside core team to contribute production models
- B2B SaaS background, especially selling to SMBs or professional services firms
