Relevance AI is building an end-to-end platform for AI agents to autonomously handle software development tasks—from picking up work, building, testing, reviewing, and deploying safely at scale. The company powers industry leaders including Canva, Databricks, Confluent, and Autodesk, and recently raised Series B funding from Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Partners, and Peak XV. As Staff AI Platform Engineer, you'll own the developer experience and infrastructure factory that multiplies the output of the entire engineering team and the AI agents working alongside them. Your responsibilities span: • Developer experience and the build/test/deploy/local-dev loop that enables fast, confident shipping • Agent-safe environments including sandboxes, guardrails, and context for autonomous investigation, building, review, and deployment • End-to-end reliability: SLOs, on-call health, observability, incident response and prevention • Cloud infrastructure and cost optimization on AWS, with visibility across the organization • Platform capabilities that scale across multiple teams and support engineers and agents contributing code • Identifying and removing systemic bottlenecks that compound across the entire engineering organization • Sharing platform expertise, educating the wider team, and creating clear contribution paths for infrastructure changes This is one of the highest-leverage roles in the company. Every system you build multiplies every engineer and agent, and the infrastructure and cost decisions you make enable a small AI-native team to out-ship much larger traditional organizations. The ideal candidate is a staff-level platform builder who combines deep expertise in developer experience, CI/CD, build/deploy tooling, and cloud infrastructure with a product mindset. You've owned reliability directly (SLOs, on-call, observability) without relying on a separate SRE team. You think in leverage and can articulate the downstream impact of your work on shipping customer outcomes. You're comfortable with AI-native development, have built environments and guardrails for coding agents, and believe a smaller AI-native team can out-build a larger traditional one. The company operates on a hybrid model (3 days in office required) from Sydney headquarters, with additional presence in San Francisco. They move fast, ship continuously (often multiple times daily), and integrate AI coding agents into every engineer's workflow. The tech stack includes React, Vue.js, TypeScript, Express.js, Node.js, and Python, though experience with the exact stack is less important than the ability to learn quickly and already use AI coding agents daily.
