As a Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager for Copper, you will own end-to-end delivery of assigned capital programs from development through construction and handover to operations. You are the single owner responsible for scope definition, schedule, budget, and risk management. Your core responsibilities include building and maintaining integrated program schedules that track critical path, interdependencies, long-lead items, and resource needs. You will own program budgets and cost forecasts, partnering with project controls and finance on estimates, commitments, variances, and change control.
You will manage interfaces across process development, process engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, business development, and finance to ensure decisions move quickly and nothing falls between disciplines. You'll run program cadences and checkpoints including execution planning, design reviews, status meetings, and readiness gates. A key responsibility is surfacing risks and open decisions early, quantifying their schedule and cost impact, and driving them to closure with escalations and recommendations.
You will produce program reporting and dashboards that give leadership visibility into status, critical path, risks, and trade-offs. You'll manage engineering partners, vendors, and contractors against scope, deliverable schedules, and quality expectations. The role requires running programs inside Mariana's Capital Project OS, driving consistent adoption across workstreams, and feeding requirements, gaps, and improvement ideas back to the software team. You will support construction, commissioning, and startup in the field and contribute to Mariana's program-management standards, templates, and metrics as the portfolio grows.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and 4+ years of program or project management experience on capital projects in mining, minerals processing, chemical, energy, or heavy-industrial environments. You must demonstrate ownership of integrated schedules and budgets on projects spanning multiple engineering disciplines and external partners, with strong technical fluency to read P&IDs, general arrangements, and equipment lists. Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with willingness to travel to project sites as programs require.
