BigPanda is seeking an SRE Technical Lead to join its DevOps Group in Tel Aviv (hybrid, 3 days/week in office). This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of BigPanda's platform that powers enterprise IT operations.
You will operate at the intersection of software engineering and production operations, taking full ownership of the systems you build and run. Rather than managing people, you'll drive impact through technical excellence and engineering leadership. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing deep product knowledge across the platform, understanding internals, failure modes, and operational behavior to own incident resolution end-to-end
- Defining and tracking SLAs/SLOs/SLIs across critical services, using error budgets to drive engineering decisions
- Owning production reliability including on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems with focus on minimizing MTTR and preventing recurrence through systemic fixes
- Working closely with engineering teams across infrastructure, application, and business layers to embed reliability and observability into every layer of the stack
- Driving reliability initiatives end-to-end: defining measurable service goals, shaping engineering priorities, and implementing preventative solutions
- Leveraging automation, modern infrastructure practices, and emerging AI capabilities to continuously evolve operations and scale
Required experience:
- 5+ years as an SRE, Platform Developer, or similar role in high-scale production environments with hands-on ownership across the full stack
- Experience introducing or scaling AI-powered systems in real-world products (ML, LLMs, agents, decision systems)
- Strong coding skills and software engineering mindset; you build your own tools rather than waiting for others
- True ownership mentality: taking responsibility for systems end-to-end and proactively driving improvements
- Infrastructure-as-code and modern container orchestration experience
- Business-level reliability experience is a strong advantage
