Tinder is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive high-impact, cross-functional programs across the Recommendations, Revenue, and Engagement teams. This hybrid role (3 days/week in-office) is based in Los Angeles or Palo Alto and sits at the intersection of product strategy and execution for one of the world's largest dating platforms.
You will own end-to-end delivery for mission-critical programs spanning recommendation infrastructure and ML models, subscription and payments systems, and lifecycle messaging/CRM platforms. You'll act as the connective tissue between these three teams and broader product organization, tracking milestones, surfacing dependencies, driving alignment on ownership and sequencing, and mitigating risk across mobile, backend, ML, and web engineering.
Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining delivery plans, dependency maps, release plans, and risk registers that evolve with shifting priorities; proactively identifying and resolving cross-team issues; improving processes while maintaining quality and velocity; and providing clear, timely communications to executive leadership on program health, including mission reports, status updates, and escalations with recommended paths forward.
You'll partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Localization teams to bring structure to rapidly evolving plans and deliver user experiences at global scale (190+ countries, 2+ billion swipes/day, 20+ million matches/day).
Tinder's mission centers on keeping the magic of human connection alive through solving complex problems around behavioral science, network economics, AI/ML, safety, and cultural nuances.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of Technical Program Management experience for consumer mobile products at scale, preferably in recommendations, ranking, personalization, monetization (subscriptions, payments, ads), or growth/lifecycle messaging
- Proven ability to run a portfolio of concurrent programs across multiple teams with delivery plans, dependency maps, release plans, and risk registers that stay current
- Demonstrated success partnering with PMs, engineering leads, and senior leadership in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- AI fluency with hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to automate program management work and accelerate cross-functional communication
- Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Jira Product Discovery (configuring views, fields, workflows), plus Confluence, Google Suite, and Figma
- Deep expertise in agile methodologies, PDLC, and SDLC best practices
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with subscription billing and payments (Apple in-app purchase, Google Play Billing, web checkout, regulated market payments)
- Working knowledge of ML project lifecycle from feature/data readiness through offline training, online experimentation, and rollout
- Experience with programmatic ads (placements, mediation, SDK integrations on iOS/Android)
- Familiarity with lifecycle and CRM messaging platforms (push, SMS, email) and compliance requirements
